WILLIAM C. FUTRELLE

William "Bill" Charles Futrelle Sr., 82, died Monday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
Mr. Futrelle was born to the late Emmett C. and Minnie Grant Futrelle. He was a retired photographer for the Goldsboro News-Argus. Mr. Futrelle was a member of First Baptist Church for over 70 years, where he served as a deacon and was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. He served his country during World War II in the U. S. Army. Mr. Futrelle was a member of Goldsboro Elks Lodge, the Golden K Kiwanis and a former member of the Goldsboro Lions Club.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Glenn Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.
Mr. Futrelle is survived by his wife, Ann Langston Futrelle; his son, Chuck Futrelle and wife, Marcia, of Goldsboro; his daughter, MaryAnn Cubbage and husband, David, of Maysville; his brothers, Earl Futrelle of Houston, TX, George Futrelle of Hickory and Milton Futrelle of Goldsboro; four grandchildren, Will and J.P. Futrelle, Sarah and Anna Cubbage.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 125 S. John St., Goldsboro, 27534.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his residence, 101 E. Lockhaven Drive, Apt. C, Goldsboro.
