PRINCETON -- Cynthia Lee Whitley Dudley, 40, 2725 Old Smithfield Road, died Thursday at her home.
Funeral services will be tonight at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Bishop Ralph Parker will officiate. Graveside service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Princeton Cemetery.
Mrs. Dudley was born in Johnston County to Hubert Earl and Vivian Lee Creech Whitley. She worked with B & G Grill in Goldsboro until her health declined.
In addition to her mother and father, she is survived by her husband, Wilbert Andrew Dudley; one son, Johnathan Scott Whitley of Selma; one sister, Shelda Strickland and her husband, Neil, of Selma; and one nephew, Blake Strickland; her mother and father-in-law, Junior and Geraldine Dudley of Princeton; nine uncles, Oscar E. Creech Jr. of Marion, Richard L. Creech of Selma, Kenneth E. Creech of Selma, Arthur B. Creech of Princeton, John H. Creech of Garner, Charles C. Creech of Wilmington, Donald G. Creech of Smithfield, Larry E. Whitley of Bailey and Danny G. Whitley of Sims; three aunts, Edith (DeDee) Bailey of Selma, Selma Piper of Smithfield and Jerry Jo Creech of Selma.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Dewayne Whitley.
The family will receive friends following the service tonight at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory.
Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society in memory of Cindy Whitley Dudley, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, 27834.
