TRENTON -- Myrtie Diane Sheppard Stroud, 49, 546 Pleasant Hill Road, died Monday at her residence. She was a nurse's aid at Caswell Center in Kinston.
Funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. from Gospel Light Christian Church, Comfort, with the Rev. Ruffin Hill officiating. Burial will be at Westview Cemetery, Kinston.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Stroud; son, Kenneth Stroud; brothers, Jimmy Sheppard of Goldsboro, Preston Sheppard of LaGrange and Gary Sheppard of Tampa, Fla.
Mrs. Stroud was preceded in death by her parents, James E. and Hazel Sheppard of LaGrange.
The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
Arrangements are with Edwards Funeral Home, Kinston.
