Catherine Edwards Williams, 82, 719 Luther Drive, died Monday at her residence.
Funeral services will be Saturday at noon at The Greater Guiding Star United Holy Church, 1114 S. Slocumb S., with Dr. Howard E. McNair officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
She was born to the late Charlie and Appie Shepherd Edwards. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Thomas Williams and son, Charles Thomas Williams.
Mrs. Williams is survived by four sons, Jimmie L. Williams of Las Vegas, Nev., James E. Williams of Brookeville, Md., Michael Williams of Laurel, Md., and Lynwood "Ray" Williams of Hayama, Japan; three daughters, the Rev. Lillian Lewis of Greensboro, Joyce "Ann" Campbell of High Point, and Renee M. Williams of Smithfield; 22 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grand child.
Viewing will be Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, Goldsboro.
The family will assemble one hour prior to the service at the church from 11 to noon.
