Wayne Community College's Aviation campers were able to launch rockets they made during the camp that concluded Thursday.
The four-day camp, attended by youth in sixth through eighth grades, explored aviation through classroom and hands-on experiences at the college's facilities at the Wayne Executive Jetport. The final day of the camp was at WCC where youth launched their rockets, many with parents watching from the sidelines.
The college's Workforce Continuing Education Division provided the camp, which was a new one in its stable of youth day camps.
