Police arrest teens in rash of vehicle break-ins

Goldsboro police arrested three teens in connection to a recent rash of vehicle break-ins.
Last month, the Criminal Investigations Division, along with patrol officers and the Crime Scene Unit, began investigating reported vehicle break-ins that took place in the area of New Hope Road and Wayne Memorial Drive.
On May 24, a vehicle matching the description of the suspects was located. Police attempted to stop the vehicle, and a chase began. The suspects stopped near the railroad track along the 1700 block of North George Street and attempted to flee on foot.
The three teens arrested in the case include:
* Sha'Kur Brewington, 18, 112 Broughton Lane, LaGrange, charged with nine counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, two counts of financial transaction card theft and one count of larceny of a firearm. Brewington was booked in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.
* Kris Keyshaun Floyd, 17, 117 Lonel St., charged with nine counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, two counts of financial transaction card theft and one count of larceny of a firearm. Floyd was booked in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond.
* Damonta Tyrease Broadhurst, 19, 1300 N. George St., charged with nine counts of breaking and entering motor a vehicle, two counts of financial transaction card theft and one count of larceny of a firearm. Floyd was booked in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond.
