Goldsboro Police are investigating an afternoon shooting that left a man with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Goldsboro police are investigating an afternoon shooting the left a man with a gunshot to wound to the leg.
Just before 2p.m., today Goldsboro police responded to a shooting at 1717 S. Slocumb Street at the Slocumb Mini Mart.
Goldsboro police Capt. LeAnn Rabun said that Officer Michael Parks was on patrol in the area when he saw people running and witnessed the victim limping.
The victim was taken to Wayne UNC Health Care. Police are not releasing the victim's name at this time, but said he is a black male in his early 20s.
