Man faces charges after allegedly raping a child

A 42-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly raping a child.
Anthony Samato Wade Allen, of 1601 Cuyler Best Road, Apt. A3, is charged with felony statutory rape of a child under the age of 15 years old, felony statutory sex offense with a child under the age of 15 years old and felony indecent liberties with a minor.
Maj. Richard Lewis with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said the investigation into the man's alleged sexual misconduct with the child began in mid-2016.
Lewis said a "concerned third-party" reported the alleged abuse.
The alleged sexual misconduct is thought to have spanned about two years, Lewis said.
Allen was arrested while he was in family court at the Wayne County Courthouse Thursday.
He was jailed in the Wayne County Detention Center on the felony charges under a $450,000 secured bond.
The age of the victim is not being released.
A press release said the victim knew the suspect.
