Did somebody mention snow? The Weather Channel and Weather Underground did, both pointing on their websites to possible snow showers for the Goldsboro area early Saturday.
The Weather Channel's website, weather.com, lists a 60 percent chance of rain showers mixing with snow showers late Friday while the temperature falls to 31 degrees F. Saturday is predicted to be cloudy with rain and snow diminishing in the morning, partial clearing in the afternoon and a high of 47 degrees F. The chance of rain Saturday is 40 percent, the Weather Channel says.
Weather Underground, at wunderground.com, shows a 40 percent possibility of snow showers beginning around 4 a.m. Saturday, diminishing to an approximately 30 percent possibility by 9 a.m. The temperature is forecast to fall to 31 degrees F at around 7 a.m. before gradually warming.
So far, the National Weather Service, at weather.gov, makes no mention of snow.
