Holiday break sees multiple overdoses

Goldsboro police are investigating four possible overdoses that occurred  between Wednesday and Friday nights.

Two happened on Friday. Two were possible heroin overdoes, according to police. Two were men and two were women.

One occurred at the victim's home, one in a parking lot at a convenience store and two others in restrooms in local businesses.

A 34-year-old woman was found lying on the bathroom floor at her home just before 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Wayne County EMS carried her to the Wayne UNC Health Care emergency department.

There was no additional information.

Just before 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 23, a 20 year-old man was found unresponsive in car at a parking lot at 1001 N. Spence Ave.

Wayne EMS carried him to the Wayne UNC Health Care emergency department suffering from a possible heroin overdose.

Shortly after 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, a 35-year-old man was found unresponsive in a restroom in a businesses at 2101 N. Wayne Memorial Drive.

Wayne County EMS to carried him to the Wayne UNC Health Care emergency department.

There was no additional information.

A 25-year-old woman was found unresponsive shortly after 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24.

The reporting party told police the victim had been in the restroom at a business at 2829 U.S. 70 West.

When she had not returned after 20 minutes, the reporting party said he entered and found her unresponsive.

When she regained consciousness she said she had been using heroin in the restroom, according to the police report.

Wayne County EMS carried her to the Wayne UNC Health Care emergency department.
