Weekend traffic stops net two drug arrests

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office's Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team made two weekend drugs arrests following two separate traffic stops.
Quaivous Sharvaryle Crawford, 44, 1106 Murphy's St., was charged with possession of cocaine, maintaining vehicle and driving while license revoked and placed under a $10,000 secured bond following a Friday traffic stop.
ACE Team members were patrolling in the area of Wayne Memorial Drive within the city limit of Goldsboro when they stopped a vehicle for speeding.
While deputies were validating the vehicle registration and driver's license, K-9 Shorty and handler conducted a open air sniff check around the vehicle.
K-9 Shorty gave a positive alert on the vehicle for the odor of narcotics, which provided deputies with probable cause to search the vehicle.
While searching the vehicle, deputies found multiple clear plastic baggies containing what is believed to be powder cocaine and Crawford was arrested.
Miranda Renee Burroughs, 34, 206 McCullen Lane, Dudley, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and placed under a $2,000 secured bond following a Saturday traffic stop.
ACE Team deputies were patrolling the area of N.C. 111 South eastern Wayne County early Saturday morning.
While patrolling, deputies assisted the state Highway Patrol on a traffic stop. During the traffic stop ACE Team members were give verbal consent to search all four occupants and the vehicle.
While searching the vehicle, deputies found a multi-color makeup bag that enclosed two clear plastic zip lock baggies containing what is believed to be crystal methamphetamine. Also found within the makeup bag were numerous drug paraphernalia items.
Burroughs was arrested.
