For the second time this year, someone walked into the Wells Fargo bank on East Ash Street Wednesday and took money from a teller before running away.
The man went inside around 3:35 p.m., demanded money from a teller by sliding a note across the counter and made off with an unknown amount of cash.
Sgt. Bryant Canady with the Goldsboro Police Department's Investigations Bureau said the suspect is a black man in his mid to late 30s.
The man was wearing a red, white and blue shirt and a gray newsboy -- or cabbie -- hat.
Canady said nobody was injured in the robbery and no weapons were used.
The man ran out of the bank and across Ash Street.
He got into a four-door SUV on the passenger side, which is the same car he arrived in.
Devon Melvin Williams, 24, of 427 Denmark St., allegedly robbed the bank at gunpoint on March 1.
Police arrested Williams a short distance away from the bank after he tried to get away on foot.
Williams was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of second-degree kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon.
