Man charged Friday in drug case from December

A man is facing drug distribution charges after being arrested for allegedly having 33 dosage units of heroin at a local motel in December, according to a press release.
Emanuel Pigford IV, 25, of 1000 N. John St., is charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver heroin.
Authorities responded to a tip on Dec. 21, 2016, from probation and parole that Pigford had 33 dosage units of heroin in his possession at the Carolina Motel on North William Street.
Deputies with the Wayne County Drug Unit investigated the incident and authorities arrested Pigford on Friday.
He was put in the Wayne County Jail with a $2,500 secured bond.
