On Monday at about 10 p.m., a Goldsboro police officer was performing an area check at the Family Dollar at 1403 Wayne Memorial Drive as an armed robbery was occurring.
Two suspects fled the rear of the business and ran toward Sixth Street as the officer was notifying other units of the situation.
The officer then observed a vehicle leaving Sixth Street at a high rate of speed and followed in pursuit.
The vehicle pursuit lead to the Jefferson Court area of the city, where two occupants jumped from the vehicle and fled on foot, while the driver and vehicle sped away.
The officer stopped the vehicle in the 500 block of Quail Drive and took the driver into custody. A perimeter was set up by GPD units, including Patrol B-Shift, Investigations Division, and Housing officers, where the two suspects were seen running, and a K-9 Unit was requested from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
A K-9 unit successfully tracked the two remaining suspects to the backyard at 102 Quail Drive, where both were taken into custody without incident.
Arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon were: O'Brien Shaquille Hooker, 24, of Bright Street in Kinston and Devon Dejatorian Waters, 36, of Windsor Creek Parkway.
Charged with aiding and abetting a robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony fleeing to elude arrest was Terry Watson, 30, of Claybrook Drive.
The investigation continues and further charges will be coming against the suspects, authorities said.
