The Goldsboro Police Department has identified a person of interest in the Christmas Eve shooting of Daniel Clark Jr.
According to the police report, Clark was found shot several times outside the Skylight Mini-Mart at 720 E. Ash St. A storefront window was also struck twice during the incident.
EMS workers transported Clark to Wayne Memorial Hospital, and he was airlifted to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. His condition has since been elevated to stable, Sgt. Jeremy Sutton said.
Investigators have released a security camera still of a person they say they need help identifying so that he might be questioned in relation to the shooting.
"He is a person of interest. Right now he is just someone we need identified so we can talk to him," Sutton said.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of the man should contact the Goldsboro Police Department at 919-580-4212, or call Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255. Crime Stoppers tips remain anonymous, and those that lead to a felony arrest are eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
