Morgan Katherine Roberts and Kenneth James Lee exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 29, 2017, at 6 p.m. at Duplin Winery wedding chapel in Rose Hill, with Ryan K Roberts officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Wyatt Kevin and Katherine Satterfield Roberts of Dudley and the granddaughter of Wyatt E. Roberts and the late Dorothy T. Roberts of Mount Olive and Mary J. Satterfield and the late Archie B. Satterfield of Faison.
She is a 2014 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2016 graduate of Wayne Community College with an RN degree in nursing. The bride is currently enrolled at East Carolina University pursuing her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The groom is the son of Kendall Corbett and Pam Best Lee of Mount Olive and the grandson of Jimmy Corbett Lee and Lousetta Coker of Mount Olive and the late Jimmy and Linda Best of Mount Olive.
He is a 2009 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2013 graduate of University of Mount Olive with a degree in accounting and a minor in business administration. He is employed as an accountant at Southern Produce in Faison, N.C.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
The bride wore an A-line wedding dress by designer Stella York that featured royal organza with a fitted Diamante encrusted lace bodice with a sweatheart neckline and a train of flowing layers of tulle. She wore a waist-length Stella York veil of royal organza. The bride carried a bouquet of white and blush roses accented with satin streamers that were also carried by her grandmother and mother on their wedding days.
Jennifer Colozio, cousin of the bride, served as matron of honor, while Shelly Lee, sister of the groom, was maid of honor.
Kendall Corbett Lee, father of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsman was Brandon Lee, brother of the groom.
Usher was Kevin Kornegay, friend of the bride and groom.
Peyton Moose, niece of the groom, was flower girl.
Mother of the bride directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Katrina Neal, aunt of the bride.
Shelly Lee, sister of the groom, and Ryan Roberts, brother of the bride, were vocalists. Rick Barefoot of Raleigh provided music.
A reception was given by the parents of the bride at the Duplin Winery.
The couple will be taking a wedding trip to Cancun in July. The couple resides in Mount Olive.
A rehearsal dinner was held at the Mad Boar Restaurant in Wallace, N.C., and given by the parents of the groom.
Events held before the wedding included an I Do barbecue hosted by the parents of the bride and groom at the home of the groom’s parents; a bachelorette weekend in Nashville, Tenn., for the bride hosted by Shelly Lee; a bachelor weekend in Asheville, N.C., for the groom; and a surprise shower for the bride hosted by co-workers of the bride at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
