Ferguson-Singleton
Rachel LeeAnne Ferguson and James Brian Singleton exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 27, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. at Falling Creek Baptist Church of Goldsboro, with pastor Billy Webb officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Glen Wayne and Rita Holmes Ferguson of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Thomas Joe and Dottie Ellis Underwood of Goldsboro and Viola Holmes Beamon of Mount Olive and the late James T. Beamon of Mount Olive and the late Leroy Holmes of Mount Olive.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and also a 2012 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in nursing.
The groom is the son of Bobby Ray and Debbie Jean Singleton of Mount Olive and the grandson of Edna Singleton of Mount Olive and the late Herbert Singleton of Mount Olive and the late James and Bessie Jones of Mount Olive.
He is a 2004 graduate of Southern Wayne High School. He is currently employed at SPX of Goldsboro.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white strapless sweetheart beaded lace trumpet-style gown that featured a shirred tulle bodice
Her headpiece was a mid-length veil lined with pearls and crystals
The bride carried a handtied bouquet of mango miniature callies, bells of Ireland, orange roses, brown hypericum berries, orange pin cushion, safari sunset and fern shoots.
The bride’s cousin, Deena Sanders, served as matron of honor, while her cousin Stephanie Wells was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kelly Singleton, sister of the groom, and Denise Moody and Katlyn Thornton, friends of the bride.
Bobby Singleton served as his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were B.J. Singleton, brother of the groom; Brad Jones, cousin of the groom; and Frazier Sanders and Justin Moody, friends of the groom.
Morgan Bass of Goldsboro was flower girl.
Landon Bass and Abel Sanders of Goldsboro were the ringbearers.
A program of wedding music was provided by John Denning, pianist, and Jason and Jaime Cox, vocalists.
Presiding at the register was Tammy Angell, while Hannah Angell distributed the programs.
The Wedding was directed by Vanessa Rivenbark of Goldsboro, friend of the couple.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Southern Wayne Country club.
After a wedding trip to Maroma Beach, Mexico, the couple resides in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a rehearsal dinner Oct. 26 hosted by the groom’s family; a couples shower given Aug. 18, 2012, by family and friends of the groom; a bridal shower given Sept. 9, 2012, by family and friends of the bride; and a Christmas shower given Oct. 7, 2012, by Tammy Angell.
