Maleka Dixon and Ronnie Thomas Johnson of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 30, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Goldsboro Raleigh Assembly Headquarters, with bishop Alton A. Smith officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Donald E. of Pikeville and Javasia Dixon of Pikeville and the granddaughter of Gladys Dixon and the late Don Dixon of Brooklyn, N.Y., and the late Alonzo and Essie Mae Weems of Brooklyn.

The groom is the son of Anthony Van Green of Fayettevile and Betty F. Johnson of Goldsboro

The bride was escorted by her her father and given in marriage by her her parents.

The bride’s parents hosted a dinner and dance reception at Walnut Creek Country Club.

After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple resides in Pikevile.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Goldsboro Raleigh Assembly Headquarters.

Events held before the wedding included a bachelorette party April 20 by Victoria Johnson, sister of the groom; a bridal shower April 21 by Javasia Dixon, Victoria Johnson and Betty Johnson; a bridal shower May 9 by the bride’s co-workers; and a bachelor party May 19 by friends of the groom.
