Pendergraft-Brogden
Britteny Nicole Pendergraft and Airman 1st Class David Glenwood Brogden of Mount Olive exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 14, 2012, at 10 a.m. at home of the Rev. Carroll Walker, with the Rev. Carroll Walker officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Joy and Sandra Edgeley Pendergraft of Kenly and the granddaughter of the late Oscar of Kenly and Sudie Pendergraft of Kenly and James and Bea Edgeley of Princeton.
She graduated from North Johnson High School in 2010, and attended Johnson Community College in Smithfield.
The groom is the son of Marion Glenwood and Frances Kornegay Brogden of Mount Olive and the grandson of the late Marion and Eva Brogden of Mount Olive and the late John Louis and Hilda Kornegay of Mount Olive.
He graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 2008, graduated from Wilson Community College in 2010 with an associate degree in fire protection and technology and has obtained an EMS 1 certification. He is serving in the Air Force as an airman first class stationed at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.
The bride was escorted by Joy Pendergraft, father of the bride, and given in marriage by her family.
She wore a a strapless white organza gown featuring beaded embroidery on the bodice, a lace-up back and a chapel train.
She carried a bouquet of orange and blue carnations.
Tiffany Pendergraft, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, while Amber Brogden, sister-in-law of the groom, served as matron of honor.
The bridesmaid was Courtney Weaver, cousin of the bride.
Glenn Brogden, father of the groom, and John Brogden, twin brother of the groom, served as best men.
The groomsman was Michael Carter, friend of the couple.
Madison Edgeley, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
Austin Pendergraft, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.
After a wedding trip to Atlantic Beach, the couple resides in San Antonio, Texas, where the groom is stationed at Lackland Air Force Base.
