Kristy Brantham and Reid Holmes exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 30, 2012, at 5 p.m. at Adaumont Farm in Trinity, with pastor Chris Lewis officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Landis Brantham Jr. of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Luray Brantham and the late Landis Brantham Sr. of Goldsboro and Elizabeth Dudley and the late James Dudley of Goldsboro.

She is a graduate of Rosewood High School and a graduate of High Point University with a Bachelor of Science degree in interior design. She is employed as the marketing coordinator and an interior designer at Shugart Enterprises LLC.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Holmes of Greensboro and the grandson of the late Eugene and Nannie Holmes of Efland, the late Reid and Mildred Roberts of Hillsborough and the late Juliet Roberts of Hillsborough.

He is a graduate of Western Guilford High School and graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. He is employed with Guilford County Schools.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an ivory soft organza strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline and a pleated bodice and body with ruffles on a dropped full A-line skirt. Her gown was adorned with organza rolled bead and pearl embellished flowers at the empire and hip with a chapel train.

Her headpiece was a custom-made birdcage veil with organza flowers embellished with beads and pearls to match the bride’s gown.

The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet with a combination of white stock, white dahlias, billy balls, monte cassino, salidago, soft yellow spray roses, fern, white gooseneck, a white garden rose with soft yellow center and yellow freesia. The stems were wrapped with burlap and yellow satin ribbon and adorned with a locket with her grandfather’s pictures.

Kayce Brantham, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Ashley Robson and Alicia Stevens, friends of the bride.

James Holmes, father of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Jamie Holmes and Michael Holmes, brothers of the groom.

Ushers were Scott Goodson and Jeff Smith, friends of the groom.

Aliza Holmes, niece of the groom, was flower girl.

Landon Holmes, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.

Mary Ann Parker directed the wedding. Alicia Cowne and Jordan Holbrook, friends of the bride, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Steve Roberts, uncle of the groom, vocalist and guitarist.

Following the outdoor ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception in the barn at Adaumont Farm. Brenda Sauls served as the reception coordinator. Pat and Patricia Herring, friends of the couple, greeted guests. Bobby and Susie Midkiff, uncle and aunt of the bride, said good-byes. Other reception helpers were Kristi Ingram, Candalyn Rade and Mary Catherine Brown.

After a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple resides in High Point.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at Colonial Country Club in Thomasville June 29, 2012. The groom presented gifts to his attendants at this time. Entertainment was provided by a spiritual trio, Mercy’s Well.

Events held before the wedding included a miscellaneous shower April 15, 2012, at Providence United Methodist Church hosted by the Fellowship Sunday school class; a dinner at Tripp’s April 28, 2012, hosted by Michael and Joanne Williams; a picnic by the pond and shower May 12, 2012, at the Roberts Family Farm in Hillsborough hosted by Judy Roberts and Lynn Roberts, aunts of the groom; a monogram shower June 5, 2012, hosted by Kayce Brantham, sister of the bride, and Alicia Cowne, friend of the bride; a bachelorette beach weekend June 1-3, 2012, at Ocean Isle Beach hosted by Kayce Brantham, sister of the bride; a bridesmaids’ luncheon June 23, 2012, at Goldsboro Country Club hosted by Luray Brantham, grandmother of the bride, Kim Brantham, Tracy Brantham, Gail Kearney and Sara Sewell, aunts of the bride, and Hannah Brantham, Harley Brantham and Jennifer Collins, cousins of the bride, during which the bride presented gifts to her attendants.
