Heather Rae Raczkowski and Newman Brian Percise exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 28, 2012, at 5 p.m. at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Glenn Phillips Jr. officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Joseph A. Raczkowski of Goldsboro and Mr. and Mrs. William Wellford of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Amelia S. Raczkowski and the late Joseph T. Raczkowski of Goldsboro and Ray C. and Frances C. Hatchell of Goldsboro.

She is a 2006 honor graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and a 2010 magna cum laude graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She is employed as an RN at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The groom is the son of Ronnie and Scottie Percise of Goldsboro and the grandson of Newman B. Percise and the late Carolyn R. Percise of Goldsboro and Mamie S. Wilson and the late George F. Wilson of Goldsboro.

He is a 2003 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a graduate of Wayne Community College’s Basic Law Enforcement Training. He is employed as a deputy sheriff with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

The bride was escorted by her father and stepfather and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an ivory beaded lace mermaid gown with a sweetheart neckline, a shirred tulle bodice and a sweep train.

Her headpiece was an ivory finger-tip veil.

The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of green mixed flowers consisting of cymbidium orchids, roses, hydrangeas and Fuji spiders. It was accented with white stephanotis. The stems were wrapped with ivory ribbon and adorned with pearl pins.

Mrs. Kelly Holland of Goldsboro and Mrs. Erin Gray served as matrons of honor, while Ms. Renee Mooring of Fremont was maid of honor.

The bridesmaid was Ms. Beth Percise of Wilmington, sister of the groom.

Ronnie Percise, father of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Ryan Davis, Josh Phillips and Josh Goodson all of Goldsboro.

Serving as an usher was Joey Raczkowski of Marietta Ga., brother of the bride.

Kaylee Tyndall of Goldsboro, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Seth and Gavin Simmons of Topsail Island were ringbearers.

Mr. Wayne Williams directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Tanya Raczkowski, of Marietta Ga., sister-in-law of the bride. Lindsay Briggs of Goldsboro, cousin of the bride, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Mrs. Carol Gray, pianist, and Mr. Scott Thrailkill and Mrs. Cynthia Thornton, vocalists.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a dinner and dance reception at Lane Tree Golf Club.

After a Caribbean cruise to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and Grand Cayman Islands, the couple resides in Goldsboro.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Lane Tree Golf Club.

Events held before the wedding included a Christmas shower Dec. 17 given by Scottie and Beth Percise, mother and sister of the groom; a wedding shower Feb. 11 given by Melanie Briggs and Cheri Clay, aunts of the bride; a wedding shower at First Baptist Church Feb. 26 given by the ladies of the church; a wedding shower and dinner March 31 given by Megan Suddarth and co-workers of the bride; a Mexican fiesta and wine shower March 24 given by Tony and Vicki Phillips and David and Sidney Hill; and a lingerie shower at the home of Erin Gray April 7 given by the bridesmaids.
