Narron-Wilkins
Virginia Winston Narron and Charles Riley Wilkins exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 9, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. at Saint Paul United Methodist Church, with James H. Harry and Hugh Jackson Winston Jr. officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Richard Narron of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Susie Finney Narron and the late Sam Narron of Middlesex and the late George Franklin Cauthorne Jr., Eleanor Winston Cauthorne and Edith Stells Cauthorne of Richmond, Va.
The bride graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 2004. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry in 2008. She graduated from the associate degree nursing program at Wayne Community College in May 2012. She is employed as a registered nurse at Vidant Children’s Hospital.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Murray Wilkins of Goldsboro and the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Worth Wilkins Sr. of Goldsboro and Barbara Riley Krentz and the late Richard Walter Krentz Sr. of Goldsboro.
The groom graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 2006. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 2009. He is employed by the Wayne County judicial system.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a silk satin ballgown with a bias draped waistband and hand pleating on the skirt, with a soft V-necked bodice completely encrusted with Swarovski crystals and dyed-to-match freshwater pearls.
The two-tiered silk trimmed veil completely covered the gown’s cathedral-length train and echoed the silk construction of the gown.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of white peonies and white hydrangeas with the stems wrapped in white ribbon and pinned with pearls.
Aaron Georgia Narron of Gibsonville and Jessica Lail Kelly of Pittsburgh, Pa., served as matrons of honor.
Bridesmaids were Ashley Lee Mott of Winston-Salem, Grace Rousseau Northington of Raleigh, Catherine Brooke Rich of Edenton, Elizabeth Ann MacArthur Souder of Washington, D.C., Anna Ward Wilkins of Durham and Margaret Lee Wilkins of Greenville, S.C.
Charles Murray Wilkins was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Bryan Carter Hancock of Goldsboro, Samuel Franklin Narron of Gibsonville, David Miles Perry, Jr. of Nederland, Colo., Charles Clinton Rouse Jr. of Raleigh, Timothy Airlon Vinson of Goldsboro and Matthew Sabiston Wilkins of Goldsboro.
Lillie Scott Narron of Gibsonville was flower girl.
Shelia S. Warrick directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Teresa Liles Rouse and Betty Brandt Rouse. Eva Rouse Cook and Mary Kincaid Rouse distributed programs.
Acolytes were Richard Starling Krentz and Daniel Isaac Krentz.
A program of wedding music was provided by Alice Campbell, organist and pianist; Taylor Lee Wilkins, vocalist; Paige Vickory Barwick, violinist; Joseph Brinson, trumpeter; and the Sanctuary Bells of Saint Paul United Methodist Church.
The bride’s parents hosted a reception following the ceremony at Walnut Creek Country Club. Mr. and Mrs. James Stewart Bryan and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clinton Rouse Sr. greeted guests at the reception. Mary Ann Parker and Dava Rose were reception directors.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Goldsboro Country Club June 8.
