Lewis - Howell
Laura Parker Howell and Jason Harold Lewis exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Dec. 18 at 5 p.m. at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Fernandina Beach, Fla., with the Rev. J. Michael Bowhay officiating.
The bride is the daughter of John Moffitt and Melody Parker Howell of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., and the granddaughter of Sigrid Jonsson Howell and the late Charles Cook Howell Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., and the late Arthur Bowen and Grace Currie Parker of Birmingham, Ala.
She graduated from the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communication with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and Mississippi College School of Law with a Juris Doctor. She is employed as an associate at Howell and O’Neal PA in Jacksonville, Fla.
The groom is the son of Arthur Ray and Pamela Harvell Lewis of Goldsboro and the grandson of Doris Jackson Lewis, the late George Harold Lewis, the late Mercer Parrott Harvell and Catherine Newsome Morgan of Goldsboro.
He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a bachelor’s degree in environmental science. He will attend graduate school at the University of North Florida this summer. He served in United States Navy as a naval aircrewman, serving both in Iraq and the Haiti relief efforts.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Jenna Howell was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kim Partello, Susie Lewis, Ambre Goff and Natalie Chambers.
Groomsmen were Chris Lewis, Donell Garris, Scott Stanley and James Howell.
Kaitlyn and Kiera Partello were flower girls.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Golf Club of Amelia Island.
After their wedding trip to Asheville, the couple will reside in Jacksonville.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower hosted by Pamela and Susie Lewis, Nancy Dawson and Linda Wilkins.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Dec. 17 at Joe’s 2nd Street Bistro in Fernandina Beach.
