Reeves-Jarnagin
Lindsay Carroll Jarnagin of Goldsboro and Kyle Timothy Reeves of Mount Olive exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Nov. 27 at 4 p.m. at Providence United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Patrick Muston and pastor Terry A. Hobbs officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Willard Keith and Delette Carroll Jarnagin of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Bill and Peggy Carroll of Dudley, Pat and Russ Westfall of North Adams, Mass., the late Reba Moody Westfall of Stockton, Calif., and the late Keith Jarnagin of Marysville, Calif.
She graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 2005, and attended East Carolina University. She is employed as the corporate manager of Tan-N-Beds of Greenville.
The groom is the son of Tim and Verlie Davis Reeves of Mount Olive and the grandson of Jack and Edith King of Goldsboro, Sallie Belle Davis of Mount Olive and the late William Penn Davis.
He graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 2003 and East Carolina University in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree. He is employed as an assistant state auditor for the North Carolina Office of the State Auditor.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a formal ivory strapless fitted A-line gown with a dipped neckline and a bodice enveloped with re-embroidered Alencon lace over satin. The embellishments on the lace were hand-sewn with crystals, beads and pewter accents and trailed from a dropped waist onto a gathered tulle skirt. The back corset gown had flowing tulle that lead to a chapel-length train.
Her headpiece was a double ivory symphony veil with sequins and ivory beading.
The bride carried a bouquet of white roses, hydrangeas and calla lilies with a ruscus collar tied with ivory satin.
Leighanna Kornegay was her friend’s matron of honor, while Jessica Jarnagin was her sister’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jessica Tate of Greenville, friend of the bride, and Maile Venable of Charlotte, cousin of the groom.
Tim Reeves was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Capt. J. Brooks Jarnagin of Fayetteville, brother of the bride; Petty Officer 2nd Class Brian Reeves of Bahrain, brother of the groom; and Nick Steward of Greenville, friend of the groom.
Sydney Carroll Basden of Northport, Ala., cousin of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid.
Kara Ange, cousin of the groom, was flower girl. Davis Carroll of Goldsboro, cousin of the bride, was ringbearer.
A program of prerecorded wedding music was used.
Cindy Carroll, aunt of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs were Krista King and Melia Venable, cousins of the groom.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a dinner reception at Lane Tree Golf Club. Norwood and Jane Head, uncle and aunt of the groom, greeted guests. Debbie King and Sally Venable, aunts of the groom, served the wedding cake. Susan Carroll Basden, aunt of the bride, was the director.
After their wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Greenville.
Events held before the wedding included an engagement party July 3 hosted by the bride’s parents, Bill and Peggy Carroll and Jessica Jarnagin; a floating bridal shower Aug. 29 at Providence United Methodist Church hosted by Cindy and Peggy Carroll; a dinner Sept. 19 at the Country Squire hosted by Brent and Debbie King; a bridal shower Sept. 26 at Brownings United Methodist Church hosed by friends of the groom; a dinner party Oct. 16 at Brownings Church hosted by Norwood and Jane Head, Mike and Sally Venable and the Davis family; a bachelorette weekend Nov. 5 in Charlotte hosted by Jessica Tate and Maile Venable; a bridal luncheon Nov. 19 at the Cardinal Club in Raleigh hosted by Cindy and Renetta Carroll during which time the bride chose to present gifts to her attendants; and a bachelor weekend Nov. 20 in Wilmington hosted by Brooks Jarnagin and Brian Reeves.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Nov. 26 at Lane Tree Golf Club.
