Pejera-Mitchell
Amanda Jo Mitchell and Reymond Pejera of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 28 at 5 at Daniel’s Memorial United Methodist Church, with John Dutton officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Frank and Terri Mitchell of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Zeb and Alberta Mitchell of Dudley and Jean Mitchell and the late Billy Mitchell of Goldsboro.
She is a 2005 honor graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a 2006 and 2010 graduate of Wayne Community College with a certificate in dental assisting and a degree in dental hygiene and an associate’s degree. She is employed as a registered dental hygienist.
The groom is the son of Paterna Pejera of Goldsboro.
He is a 2002 honor graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2006 graduate of Mount Olive College with a degree in criminal justice. He is serving in the United States Coast Guard.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a satin A-line gown with a beaded embroidered metallic bodice and an inverted V empire accented with a crystal pendant with a embroidered beaded cathedral-length train.
Her headpiece was a two-tiered shoulder-length veil.
The bride carried a bouquet of pink roses accented with white feathers and crystals.
Chelsy Brown was her friend’s matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Samantha Jennette and Shelly Willis, cousins of the bride.
Reyman Pejera was the best man.
Groomsmen were Jonathan Mitchell, brother of the bride, and John Shaw, friend of the couple.
Arwen Willis and Caroline Jennette, cousins of the bride, were flower girls. Gabriel Willis, cousin of the bride, was the ringbearer.
Beth Daniels directed the wedding.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at Hinnant Family Vineyards.
After their wedding trip to the coast, the couple will reside in Elizabeth City.
Events held before the wedding included an engagement party June 26 hosted by the bride’s family and a miscellaneous shower Aug. 8 hosted by Samantha Jennette and Shelly Willis.
The groom’s family hosted a rehearsal dinner Aug. 27 at the Texas Steakhouse.
