Miller-Vinson
Jamie Grey Vinson of Faison and Ryan Travis Miller of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 9 at 5 p.m. at Faison Presbyterian Church in Faison, with Bradley Boberg officiating.
The bride is the daughter of James Wayne of Turkey and Patricia English Vinson of Faison and the granddaughter of Marilyn Heckman and the late Alvin Heckman of Faison and David and Doris English of Kenansville.
She graduated from North Duplin High School and Sampson Community College. She is employed as a nurse at Britthaven.
The groom is the son of Russell Miller and Tami McKemie West of Goldsboro, the stepson of Lyn Miller and David West and the grandson of Larry and Valarie Miller, Dorothy McKemie and the late Eugene McKemie of Goldsboro.
He graduated from Eastern Wayne High School and Wayne Community College. He is employed as a mechanic technician at Bridgestone.
The bride was escorted by father and given in marriage by her parents.
Sarah Boberg was her sister’s matron of honor, while Jamie Niemond, friend of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Lindsay Gainus, cousin of the bride, and Laura Gordon and Morgan Parks, friends of the bride.
Russell Miller was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Eric West and Jason West, brothers of the groom, and Airlon Vinson and Tyler Mitchell, friends of the groom.
Emma Chapman, cousin of the groom, was the junior bridesmaid.
Kayla West, sister of groom, and Hannah Hall and Sydney Ross, cousins of the bride, were flower girls.
Jill Parks directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Kelly and Steven Callahan, cousins of the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Anne Taylor, pianist, and Michael Mozingo, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, a dinner reception was held. June King and Laura Thornton served the wedding cake. Servers were Faison Presbyterian Church youth and leaders.
After their wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
Events before the wedding included a shower at the Faison Presbyterian Church hosted by the women of the church; a shower hosted by aunts and uncles of the bride; a luncheon hosted by friends at Red Spring Baptist Church; and a bridesmaids’ luncheon at Murphy’s Restaurant.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Country Squire.
