Fuhs-Casey
Stephanie Casey of Middletown, Conn., and Thomas Matthew Fuhs of Middletown exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 9 at 2 p.m. at Sea Breeze Point at the Boardwalk Resort at Disney World in Orlando, Fla., with pastor Jack Day officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Thomas “Buddy” and Betty Casey of West Haven, Conn., formerly of Jacksonville.
She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a degree in education. She is pursuing a master’s degree in education. She was accepted to Teach for America and works as a second-grade teacher in Hartford Conn. She is employed as a second-grade teacher at Sands Elementary in Hartford, Conn.
The groom is the son of Thomas Micheal and Faith Fuhs of Goldsboro.
He graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 2003 and the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a degree in theater history. He is pursuing a master’s degree in education. He is employed as a student intern/ substitute teacher at Toffolon Elementary in Plainville, Conn.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
She wore a white satin and chiffon strapless gown.
The bride carried a bouquet of burnt orange Calla lilies wrapped with chiffon ribbon.
Stephen Casey was his sister’s maid of honor.
Sara Wiest was her brother’s best man.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Portobello Italian Restaurant at Downtown Disney.
After their wedding trip to Disney World in Orlando, the couple will reside in Middletown.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Raglan Road Irish Pub at Downtown Disney.
