Lucky - Booker
Tiffany Meria Booker of Goldsboro and LeDell M. Lucky of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 14 at 2 p.m. at Eastern Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, with pastor Timothy Dortch officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Charles and Hellena Leonard of Fayetteville and Thomas Booker III of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Helen Gonzales of Goldsboro.
She graduated from Goldsboro High School, Winston-Salem State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Capella University with a master’s degree in human services. She is employed as a case manager at Integrated Program and Services.
The groom is the son of the late Ellen Bright Jones (Ronnie) of Goldsboro and Larry Lucky I of New Haven, Conn., and the grandson of the late Leodus Bright, the late Margerat Sherod and Burden and Nannie Best of Goldsboro.
He graduated from Goldsboro High School and attends Strayer University, where he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in information technology. He is employed as a correctional officer at Wayne Correctional Center.
The bride was escorted by her stepfather and given in marriage by her mother.
She wore a white strapless beaded lace chiffon side-drape dress with a satin split-front and a chapel-length train.
Her headpiece was a silver tiara accented with a crystal design and a one-tiered fingertip-length veil with a satin cord edge.
The bride carried a bouquet of ivory and watermelon lilies.
Latoya Booker was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Nyquita Gonzales, Brittney Jones, Crystal Jones, Stacy Whitney, Tesha Isler, Jonelle Stovall, Tamaya Davis, Ayesha Davis, Angela Goldsby, Monica Eatmon, Sherri Smalls and April Bizzell.
Larry Lucky II was the best man.
Groomsmen were Espoinisa Eatmon, Quinton Artis, Christopher Young, Ryan Jones, Shavarae Gonzales, Pedro Gonzales III, Christopher Hammand, Christopher Brown, Jesse Artis, Adam Wright, Mike Jones and Mike McGuire.
Ushers were Pedro Gonzales Jr., Pablo Gonzales, C.J. Leonard Jr. and James Davis
Jalena Pitt was the junior bride.
Jewel Pitt was flower girl. Julian Pitt Jr. was ringbearer.
Regina Harvey directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Juanita Gonzales. Mecca Wooten and Quanisha Gonzales distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Phillip Freeman, sound technician; Charles Raiford, disc jockey; Brian Moody, pianist; and Okisha Wells and Shavarae Gonzales, vocalists.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Steak Barn.
After their wedding trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a bachelorette party July 24 in Raleigh hosted by Latoya Booker; a bridal shower Aug. 7 at Logan’s Roadhouse hosted by the bride’s mother; and a bachelor party Aug. 13 in Greensboro hosted by Larry Lucky II.
Mary David and Monique Reaves hosted a rehearsal dinner Aug. 13 at Eastern Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
