Kendall - Gurganus
Caroline Marie Gurganus of Goldsboro and John Henry Kendall of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 5 at 1 p.m. at Waynesborough Historic Village, with Greg Kincaid officiating.
The bride is the granddaughter of Paula Price of Troy, N.Y.
She is pursuing a teaching degree. She is employed as a cashier at Food Lion.
The groom is the son of Roger Stanley Kendall and Kimberly Schultze Kendall of Goldsboro and the grandson of Ruth Kendall and the late Howard John Kendall of Goldsboro and the late Ronald and Wilma Schultze of Dudley.
He is employed as a stocker at Food Lion.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her grandmother.
She wore an off white A-line dress with a heart-shaped neckline with sequins and beading on the top.
Her headpiece was an off-white double-layered veil.
The bride carried a bouquet of silk red and white roses.
Rachel Carroll was the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jenifer Kominsky and Leigh Kennedy.
Jarell Hamm was the best man.
Groomsmen were Micheal Rivers and Peyton Garland.
Jay’den Attkinson and Shane Strickland were ringbearers.
Special helpers at the wedding were Tina Firestone, Terry Fenwick, Christie Davis, Linda Chastain and Katie Kendall.
A program of wedding music was provided by Daniel and Samantha Casey, violinist and guitarist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Waynesborough Historic Village.
After their wedding trip to New Bern, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower hosted by Kim and Katie Kendall.
