Ellis-Howell
Carolyn Crystal Howell and David Scott Ellis of Rocky Mount exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 3 at 10:30 a.m. at First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Bill Rose officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Michael “Peanut” and Thlanda Howell of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of G. Norwood and Lowrise Howell and the late Cooper and Evelyn Lancaster of Goldsboro.
She is a graduate of East Carolina University. She is employed as logistic coordinator at Alliance One International.
The groom is the son of Donald C. Ellis of Wilson and Elizabeth Langston of Rocky Mount and the grandson of the late Thad and Alice Ellis of Macclesfield and Maud Bunn of Wilson.
He is employed as a printer at Eagle Press.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.
She wore a white taffeta strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline with an elongated waistline. The bodice was enhanced with diagonal ruching that continued to the back of the gown. The gown featured a lace-up corset back and a chapel train.
The bride carried a white rose bouquet.
Lindsay Stagner was maid of honor.
Courtney Steffenhagen was the bridesmaid.
Chris Whitehurst was best man.
Boyd Wilson was the groomsman.
Linzy Howell directed the wedding.
A program of wedding music was provided by Danny Arnette, flutist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held.
After their wedding trip to St. Croix, the couple will reside in Pikeville.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower June 13 at First Pentecostal Holiness Church hosted by family and friends.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner July 2 at the Steak Barn.
