Williford - Case
Amanda Joy Case of Gastonia and Clinton Ashley Williford of Beaufort exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 19 at 4:30 p.m. in Beulah, Mich., with the Rev. Stephen Davidson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Leonard and Brenda Joy Case of Beulah and the granddaughter of June Joy Case of Frankfort, Mich.
She attended Benzie Central High School and graduated from Grand Valley State University of Grand Rapids, Mich., with a degree in elementary education. She is employed as an elementary teacher.
The groom is the son of Weldon Wray and Jane Cooper Williford of Fremont and the grandson of Minnie Estelle Williford and the late Otis Albert Williford of Princeton and Mary Jane Lancaster and the late Clinton Edward Lancaster of Pikeville.
He attended Charles B. Aycock High School, North Carolina State University, where he received a degree in fisheries and wildlife sciences and Johnston Community College with a radiology degree. He is employed as an MRI technologist at Carteret General Hospital.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white satin off-the-shoulder floor-length gown with a side-draped bodice and a corset-styled back with interlaced ribbon.
Her headpiece was a single-tiered elbow-length pearl and diamond-edged veil.
The bride carried a bouquet of white, peach and yellow roses.
Sabra Danford was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Katie Gipson and Sarah Eichberger, friends of the bride.
Weldon Wray Williford was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Andrew Case, brother of the bride, and Mike Laurino, friend of the groom.
Margaret Ann Stathelson was flower girl. Carson Case, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.
Presiding at the register was Penelope Olsen.
Laura Stetz, Kayla Vigilante and Kara Quine, cousins of the bride, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by vocalist and organist Christy Case, sister-in-law of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville, Mich.
After their wedding trip to Williamsburg, Va., the couple will reside in Beaufort.
Events held before the wedding included a wedding shower and brunch Dec. 29 at the home of Chrisy Case, sister-in-law of the bride, of Benzonia, Mich., hosted by Ms. Case; a pig picking wedding shower April 3 at the home of the groom’s parents hosted by the groom’s parents; a wedding shower April 7 hosted by Jo Danford, family friend of the bride; and a bridesmaids’ luncheon June 17 at the home of the bride hosted by her mother.
A rehearsal dinner was held June 18 at The Cherry Hut in Beulah.
