Goodson - King
Jennifer Denise King of Goldsboro and Joshua Aaron Goodson of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 17 at 11 a.m. at Hood Swamp Friends Church, with the Rev. Michael Hamm officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Alvin and Denise Laws of Goldsboro and Karl and Teresa King of Snow Hill and the granddaughter of Evelyn Carlyle of LaGrange and the late Sam Carlyle, Billy and Audrey King, Gene and Theodosia Proctor and Alvin and Peggy Laws of Goldsboro.
She is employed as a paramedic with Wayne County EMS.
The groom is the son of Tim and Valerie Goodson of Snow Hill and the grandson of the late James and Rosa Goodson of Mount Olive and the late Isaac and Doreen Edwards of Snow Hill.
He is employed as a police officer with the city of Goldsboro.
The bride was escorted by her brother, Josh Laws, and given in marriage by her family.
She wore a formal wedding gown of white chiffon over satin with a V-neckline with bugle beads, crystals and sequins. The empire waist was enhanced with ruching detail and flowed into an A-line skirt and also a chapel-length train.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church.
After their wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
