Ferrell - Stilwell
Robin Michelle Stilwell of Goldsboro and Blake Thomas Ferrell of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 14 at 3 p.m. at Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church, with Richard Glosson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Colon Ray Stilwell of Hickory and Tillis Eugene Jr. and Betty Lail Rendleman of Taylorsville and the granddaughter of the late Kelly Ray and Edith Beaver Stilwell of Hildebran and Thelma Huffman, the late Lawrence Ransom Huffman and the late John Luther Lail of Conelly Springs.
The bride is a graduate of Eastern Wayne High and a honor graduate of Mount Olive College with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. She is employed as a financial center leader at BB&T.
The groom is the son of Timothy Eugene and Donnie Lane Ferrell of Pikeville and the grandson of Thomas Eugene and Arlie McLeroy Ferrell and the late Paul Rand Lane of Pikeville and Faye Aycock Lane of Bailey.
The groom is a graduate of Charles B. Aycock High and the Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy of the state of North Carolina. He is employed as a deputy sheriff at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Jenna Leigh Ferrell, sister of the groom, was maid of honor.
Honorary bridesmaids were Teresa Stilwell Darcus of Clayton, sister of the bride, and Leah Stewart Brogden, Rhonda Coker, Karrie Coker King and Josehpine Le Howell of Goldsboro, Lindsey Hall Dishman of Wilmington and Holly Williams Rucker of Apex, friends of the bride.
Timothy Eugene Ferrell was his son’s best man.
Ushers were Mark Bert Lancaster, Tyler William Lancaster and Brett Lane Lancaster.
Ava Tyler Lancaster and Georgia Stewart Brogden were flower girls.
Megan Jones Rose directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Megan Prince Worrell. Amanda Best Hinnant distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jenna Ferrell, sister of the groom, vocalist.
Special helpers were Mark and Bonnie Lancaster, Lauren Crawford, Dannie Williams, Diana Jones, Tracy Fitzgerald, Terry Pridgen, Tammy Jones and Judy Crawford.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Elks Lodge.
After their honeymoon trip, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a wedding shower and luncheon Aug. 1 at Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church hosted by the groom’s parents and grandparents and a bridal shower Aug. 8 at the home of Josephine Howell hosted by friends of the bride.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the former Billie’s Backstreet.
