Strickland - Parrish
FREMONT — Rebecca Price Parrish of Fremont and George V. Strickland of Fremont exchanged vows in a private double-ring ceremony April 17 at 5 p.m., with McDaniel Eason officiating.
The bride is the daughter of the late James Edward Barley and Bonnie Sue Price Bazemore of Goldsboro, the stepdaughter of David Bazemore and Deborah Barley of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Eloise and George Cliffton Barley and the late Roland and Nancy Price of Goldsboro.
She is a 1992 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and a 1994 graduate of Wilson Tech. She attends Barton College for a degree in business management. She is employed as a merchant services accountant at BB and T Financial in Wilson.
The groom is the son of the late George W Strickland Jr. and Helen Strickland of Goldsboro.
A reception was held at the home of Anne Coley, aunt of the bride April 24. Special helpers were Priscilla Grice, Carolyn Pelt, Kelly Pelt, Jeanette Smith and family.
After their wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple will reside in Fremont.
