Davidson - Brogden
Stephanie Marie Brogden and Christopher Phillip Davidson of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 1 at 3 p.m. at Adamsville Baptist Church, with the Rev. Todd Wiggins officiating.
The bride is the daughter of David Stephen and Sheila Pittman Brogden of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Evelyn Marie Brogden and the late Dewey Brogden of Goldsboro and Hazel Pittman Rowe and the late Elvin Noah Pittman of Pikeville.
She is an honor graduate of Rosewood High School. She attended Wake Technical Community College and North Carolina State University. She is employed as a certified pharmacy technician at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The groom is the son of Phillip Raymond Davidson and Miriam Perez of Bronx, N.Y., and the grandson of the late John Davidson, Ana Stupar and the late Florecio and Romona Perez of New York, N.Y.
He is a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and attends Liberty University for a degree in accounting. He is employed as a chaplain’s assistant in the United States Air Force.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white floor-length gown with allover beaded lace with an empire-style waistline accented with pearls and crystals and a sweep train.
Her headpiece was a one-tiered elbow-length veil trimmed in lace.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of white miniature calla lilies, white roses and white lilies, accented with pink wax flowers. The stems were adorned with white sheer ribbon.
Sherry Jones and Stacy Holloman were their sister’s matrons of honor.
Bridesmaids were Samantha Werner, sister of the groom, and Jennifer Fink, Carla Pierce and Kimberly Younts, friends of the bride.
Demetrius Ward was his friend’s best man.
Groomsmen were Billy Jones and Doug Holloman, brothers-in-law of the bride, and Tony Denham and George Madrid, friends of the groom.
Katie Holloman, niece of the bride, was the flower girl. Alex and Nick Jones, nephews of the bride, were ringbearers.
Connie Miller, cousin of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Amy Thompson, friend of the bride. Kasey Jones and Amanda Werner, nieces of the couple, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Anita Poland, pianist; David Carawan, guitarist; and Josh Crawford and Olivia Wiggins, vocalists.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception in the church fellowship hall.
After their wedding trip to Antigua, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a lingerie shower March 5 hosted by sisters of the bride; a bridal shower March 7 at Rosewood First Baptist Church hosted by the family of the bride; a bridal shower March 21 at Adamsville Baptist Church hosted by the couple’s Sunday school class; a bridal shower April 13 at the hospital pharmacy hosted by co-workers of the bride; a bachelorette weekend April 16 in Atlantic Beach; and a bridesmaids’ brunch April 30 hosted by the bride’s mother.
A rehearsal dinner was held April 30 at Rosewood First Baptist Church.
