Owens-Hayes
RALEIGH — Toneka Shalece Hayes of Dudley and Ricardo Bernard Owens of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a single-ring ceremony Oct. 31 at noon at Elevation Baptist Church, with pastor Terry L. Carmichael officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Lynn Gerald Marshall of Mount Olive and Belinda Louise Hayes (Hobbs) of Philadelphia, Pa., and the granddaughter of Christine Rodgers of Mount Olive, the late Reginald Marshall of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Joyce Hayes Goslee and the late James Edward Hobbs of Philadelphia, Pa.
She is employed at APV/SPX.
The groom is the son of Cynthia Bernice Underwood of Goldsboro and the late Richmond Earl Owens of Autryville and the grandson of the late Debro and Parnell Owens of Autryville and Ida Bell McLamb and the late Bernard McLamb of Clinton.
He is employed at APV/SPX.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Candace Williams was matron of honor.
Zalekia Holmes was the bridesmaid.
Ushers were Alton McCoy, Mark Braxton, Ronald Sellers and Ni’jee Marshall.
Caitlin Williams was flower girl.
Felicia Brown directed the wedding.
Antonia Arnold-McFarland and Nicole Timms (Peele) were the bride’s assistants.
Hostess were Lynecia Carraway, Yolando Oxendine, Lydia Marshall and Moszettta Johnson.
A program of wedding music was provided by McKinley Wooten, pianist, and Toshia Cunningham, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at North Carolina State University Club in Raleigh.
After their wedding trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
