Graham-Gooding
DUDLEY — Rebecca Danielle Gooding and Justin Hansel Graham of Mount Olive exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Dec. 12 at 2 p.m. at Dudley Christian Church, with the Rev. Blane Smith officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Patrick and Michelle Gooding of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of William Dock Gooding of Mount Olive, Dorothy Gooding of Goldsboro, Donald and Barbara Kelley of Calypso, Alton Wayne Howell of Clayton and Philip and Delores York of Doylestown, Pa.
She is a 2007 honor graduate of North Duplin High School and a 2009 graduate of Wayne Community College’s practical nursing program. She is employed as a licensed practical nurse at Britthaven.
The groom is the son of Joey Graham of Dudley and Laura Read of Goldsboro and the grandson of B.J. and Ann Lee, the late Junius Graham and Carroll and Diana Grady of Mount Olive.
He is a 2006 graduate of Southern Wayne High School. He is employed as a lot manager at Lee Inc. of Princeton.
The bride was escorted by the couple’s son and her father and given in marriage by her son and her parents.
She wore an ivory strapless A-lined satin gown with Swarovski crystals, rhinestones, bugle beading, pearls and embroidered lace designs with a semi-cathedral train.
Her finger-tip veil was ivory with satin piping and pearls.
The bride carried a bouquet of burgundy and ivory roses, burgundy poinsettias, pearl strands and amaryllis.
Kim McClement of Goldsboro was her friend’s matron of honor, while Dana Herring of Mount Olive, friend of the couple, was maid of honor.
Courtney Howell of Calypso, cousin of the bride, was the bridesmaid.
Wesley Graham of Chapel Hill was his brother’s best man.
Groomsmen were Kris and Matt Millard of Princeton, friends of the groom.
Stephanie Strickland of Faison, cousin of the bride, and Marleigh Read of Goldsboro, sister of the groom, were junior bridesmaids.
Savannah Smith of Dudley, cousin of the groom, was flower girl. James Talton Graham of Mount Olive, son of the couple, was ringbearer.
Gail Warren of Faison, aunt of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Amberly Herring of Calypso, friend of the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jeremy Owens, pianist.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Dudley Christian Church’s community life center. Sherry Holmes, aunt of the groom, served the wedding cake. Patty Lane, aunt of the groom, poured punch.
After their wedding cruise to Nassau, Bahamas, the couple will reside in Mount Olive.
Events held before the wedding included a miscellaneous shower Nov. 14 at Brocks Chapel Church hosed by Dana Herring and friends; a miscellaneous shower Nov. 21 at Dudley Christian Church fellowship hall hosted by the CWF ladies; a miscellaneous shower in November at Mount Olive Pentecostal Holiness Church hosted by family of the bride; and a lingerie shower Dec. 4 at the Jackson home hosted by Meg and Courtney Jackson.
The groom’s father hosted a rehearsal dinner at Dudley Christian Church fellowship hall.
