Knight-Schafer
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Jennifer Nataline Schafer of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Patrick Scott Knight of North Myrtle Beach exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 17 at 5 p.m. at The Ocean Club at the Grande Dunes, with pastor William Garner officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. T. Gibson Blackman and Barbara Smith Blackman of Goldsboro and Samuel Barrett Schafer of Summerville, S.C., and the granddaughter of the late Lamar and Rachel Turner Smith, the late Helen Harrelson Schafer Mast and the late Joseph Melvin Schafer of Dillon, S.C., and Elizabeth Aycock Blackman and the late John W. Blackman of Fremont.
She is a graduate of Dillon High School and attends Durham Technical College. She is employed as a certified dispensing optician.
The groom is the son of Danny Morrison and Linda Lane Knight of Dillon, and the grandson Mildred Lane Jones and the late Jesse Lee Jones of Dillon the late Sylvester and Thelma Knight of Lancaster, S.C.
He is a graduate of Lancaster High School and Chris Logan Career College. He is employed as a hairstylist.
The bride was escorted by her father and met by her stepfather at the end of the aisle, then escorted by both to the alter and given in marriage by her father, stepfather and mother.
She wore a formal sleeveless gown of ivory satin with silver embroidery and beading of swirl and flower motifs adorning the bodice and the hemline. Satin-covered buttons graced the back of the dress into a multi-pleated skirt and a semi-cathedral train.
Her headpiece was her mother’s one-tier semi-cathedral veil of silk illusion lined with antique lace and a comb of crystals and silver rhinestones.
The bride carried a cascading bouquet of orange, yellow and red orchids and ivory, red and orange roses hand-tied with brown and ivory ribbon adorned with pearl accents.
Lindsay Schafer of Goldsboro was the maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Lashell Head of Chapin, S.C., Holly Sessions of Wilmington and Pamela Capra of Kenilworth, N.J.
Danny Knight of Dillon was best man.
Groomsmen were Barrett Schafer of Columbia, S.C., Robin Campbell of Latta, S.C., and Rob Acorn of North Myrtle Beach.
Patricia Kiewert and Robin Roberts of Goldsboro directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs were Emily Head and Shelby Anne Head.
A program of wedding music was provided by Sand Strings of Myrtle Beach.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a dance reception in the cabanana at the Ocean Club.
After their wedding cruise to the western Caribbean, the couple will reside in North Myrtle Beach.
Events held before the wedding included a a miscellaneous shower July 11 in Goldsboro hosted by Kristal Bennett and Jill Sasser; a miscellaneous shower Aug. 22 in Dillon hosted by Holly Sessions; a miscellaneous shower Sept. 13 in Latta hosted by Connie Tallon, Kathy Campbell, Celeste Campbell and Lisa Carmicheal; a bachelorette weekend Oct. 3 in North Myrtle Beach hosted by Lindsay Schafer; a toast and roast Oct. 15 in North Myrtle Beach hosted by Dr. Gib and Barbara Blackman; and a bridal Luncheon Oct. 16 in North Myrtle Beach hosted by Lindsay Schafer, Lashell Head and Judy Coppock.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Crab Catchers in Little River, S.C.
