Bradshaw-Beaman
MOUNT OLIVE — Heather Suzanne Beaman and Bradley Edward Bradshaw exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Dec. 19 at 5:30 p.m. at Northeast Original Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Sherman Dilley officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Sue Jackson Beaman and Marvin Joseph Beaman Jr. and the granddaughter of Marvin Beaman Sr., the late Peggy West Beaman, Rebecca Baucom Beaman and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim Jackson of Mount Olive.
She is a graduate of Southern Wayne High School and Mount Olive College with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a concentration in management and organizational development. She is employed as an admission represtnetiave with Mount Olive College.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bradshaw Jr. of Goldsboro and the grandson of Edward Bradshaw Sr., Mavis Cannady, Eloise Burke and the late James L. Burke of Goldsboro.
He is a graduate of Southern Wayne High School and Mount Olive College with a Bachelor of Science degree in recreation and leisure studies. He is employed as a transmission line technician with Progress Energy.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a formal ivory gown of English netting. The sweetheart strapless bodice had embroidery of gold threading embellished with bugle beads, sequins and seed pearls. The ballgown-style skirt had scattered embroidery of gold to match the bodice. The hemline was trimmed with the same gold embroidery and flowed into a semi-cathedral-length train.
Her headpiece was a tiered ivory veil accented with teardrop crystals.
The bride carried a clutch-style bouquet of white Virginia roses accented with white feathers trailing with gold beaded garland bound with white marabou trim.
Kristen Jo Beaman was her sister’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Tyler Diana Barwick, Jennifer Bingham Tyndall and Laura Rachel Barwick Rouse of Mount Olive, Kelly Parker Campbell of Durham, Robin Lear Peacock of Roanoke, Va., friends of the bride, and Lindsey Holloman Blackwell, cousin of the bride.
Edwad Bradshaw Jr. was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Matthew Eric Bradshaw of Raleigh, brother of the groom; Michael Dale Pendergraft Jr. of Wilmington, cousin of the groom; and Joel Lee Rose of Goldsboro, David Dean Thornton, Jeffrey Paul Thornton and John Hugh Tyndall of Mount Olive and Daniel Blake Wood of Benson, friends of the groom.
Jill Parks of Mount Olive, friend of the family directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs were Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Shannon Jackson of Wallace, cousins of the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Sue McClenny of Mount Olive, organist; Jay Sauls of Goldsboro, and Laura Rachel Rouse of Mount Olive, vocalists; and Christopher Jackson of New Bern, cousin of the bride, violinist and guitarist.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a dinner and dance reception at Lane Tree Golf Club. Mr. and Mrs. Terry Holloman of Mount Olive and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Westbrook of Goldsboro, friends of the family, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Pendergraft of Goldsboro, uncle and aunt of the groom; and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Shannon Jackson, cousin of the bride, greeted guests. Allison Pendergraft of Goldsboro, cousin of the groom, and Bryan Dougherty of Charlotte, friend of the couple, presided at the register. Ann Beaman D’Agostino of Atlanta, Ga., and Pamela Beaman of Mount Olive, aunts of the bride, served the wedding cake, assisted by Jane Beaman of Mount Olive. Jennifer Thornton Parker of Mount Olive was director. Special helpers were Sandy Pendergraft and Debra Dazey Barwick.
After their wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Faison.
Events held before the wedding included an engagement dinner party May 24 at the home of the bride’s mother; a Christmas-in-July shower July 19 at the home of Eileen Whitfield hosted by Mrs. Whitfield, Jill Parks, Debra Barwick, Debbie Holmes, Tammy Keel, Angie Sanders and Jo Brown; an around-the-clock shower Aug. 1 at Falling Creek United Methodist Church hosted by Jennifer Tyndall and Laura Rachel Rouse; a dinner pool party Aug. 22 at the home of Carlton and Renee Hinson; a honey-do/tool shower Oct. 3 at the home of Mike an Sandy Pendergraft hosted by Allison Pendergraft and the family; a Pampered Chef shower Oct. 4 at the home of Sue Beaman hosted by Sharon Jackson; a dinner party Oct. 17 at the Steak Barn hosted by Dennis and Cathy Waller; a miscellaneous shower Oct. 31 at First Baptist Church fellowship hall; a miscellaneous shower Nov. 1 at Northeast Original Free Will Baptist Church ladies classroom hosted by Lisa Whitifeld, Jill Parks, Brenda Jackson, Debbie Holmes, Eileen Whitfield, Jo Brown and Debra Barwick; a dinner party Nov. 6 at the Steak Barn hosted by Dustin and Meredith Keipper, Jo Lewis, Tim Woodard, Brad Evans, Jamie Massengill and Yeeka Yau, co-workers of the bride; a dinner party Nov. 22 at Griff’s Steak House in Wilson hosted by Jerry and Brenda Jackson, Shannon and Sharon Jackson and Christopher Jackson; a breakfast shower Nov. 29 hosted by Northeast Church’s Sunday school class; a girls night out Dec. 12 at Murphy’s Restaurant hosted by Lindsey Blackwell; and a bridesmaids’ luncheon Dec. 13 at the home of Ginger McQueen hosted by Ms. McQueen during which time the bride presented gifts to her attendants.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Dec. 18 at Country Squire Restaurant in Kenansville. The groom chose this time to present gifts to his attendants.
