Langley-Luttenberger
Corrie Luttenberger Medlin of Goldsboro and Eric Samuel Langley of Rosewood exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 17 at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, with pastor Drew Clark officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Joyce Luttenberger and the late Paul Luttenberger of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Donald and Virginia Sipe and the late Fred and Beryl Luttenberger of Cedarville, Ohio, and the late Elizabeth Miller of Lake Wales, Fla.
She is a 2002 honor graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a 2008 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in medical assisting. She is employed as a certified medical assistant at Goldsboro Orthopedics Association.
The groom is the son of Sammy and Shari Langley Jr. of Rosewood and the grandson of Earl and Foy Mae Fail of Rosewood, Charles and Sue Langley Sr., Bernice Langley and the late Louise Langley of Princeton and Zilla Mae Fail of Rosewood.
He is a 2000 graduate of Rosewood High School and a 2004 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed as an engineering mechanic at Kidde Aerospace in Wilson.
The bride was escorted by her brother, John Luttenberger, and given in marriage by her family.
She wore a strapless white satin gown with an overlay of chiffon embellished with a rhinestone clip on the bodice.
Her headpiece was a double-tiered veil with circlets of rhinestones.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of roses, autumn lilies, Gerber daisies and chrysanthemums.
Beth Brock was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Shannon Corry of Cedarville, cousin of the bride, Sarah Brown and Jenna Sittig.
Sammy Langley Jr. was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Matt Guinn of Bristol, Tenn., Brett Holloman of Greenville and Chris Sittig.
Ellen Jordan directed the wedding. Presiding at the guest register was Kimberly McNally. Stephani and Jaymi Roe of Newport News, Va., nieces of the bride, distributed wedding bulletins.
Scripture readers were Christine Roe of Newport News, sisters of the bride, and Sherry Jennette, niece of the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Michael Nault, organist, and Karen Patzer, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, a dance reception was held in the banquet room of Holiday Inn Express. Matthew and Robbie Jennette, nephews of the bride, distributed birdseed bags. Julie Fail, aunt of the groom, and Jenna Fail, cousin of the groom, cut and served the wedding cake.
After their wedding trip to the mountains of West Virginia and North Carolina, the couple will reside in Rosewood.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower Sept. 19 at the home of the bride’s mother hosted by Christine Roe and Susan Jennette, sisters of the bride; a bridal shower Sept. 26 at Antioch Presbyterian Church hosted by Julie Fail, Dee Fail and Angie Fail, aunts of the groom; a girls’ night out party Oct. 10 at Torrero’s Restaurant hosted by Beth Brock; and a bridal shower Oct. 13 at Goldsboro Orthopedics Association hosted by Dana Smith, Beth Greene and Heather White.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Oct. 16 at the Steak Barn.
