Lassiter - Rowe
Doris R. Rowe of Goldsboro and Evon Lassiter of Fremont exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 5 at 9 a.m. at home of Dr. Maevone Thompson, friend of couple, with Dr. Robert Hood officiating.
The bride is the daughter of the late Paul Britt of LaGrange and Nettie R. Rowe of Goldsboro
She is a 1969 graduate of Central High School, a 1972 graduate of Wayne Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree, a 1999 graduate of Goldsboro Disciple Institute School of Religious Education and a 2001 graduate of Friends International University in California with Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree. She retired from the Goldsboro Police Department as an office assistant II. She is employed as an administrative assistant/office manager at Triangle Comprehensive Health Services Inc.
The groom is the son of the late Evon Lassiter Sr. and Rosa Lee Forte Lassiter of Pikeville.
He is a 1970 graduate of Norwayne High School and a 2003 graduate of Goldsboro Disciples Institute School of Religious Education with a Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree. He is employed as a truck driver with Domino’s Pizza.
Dorothy R. Thompson was her sister’s matron of honor.
James Lassiter was his brother’s best man.
A reception will be held at a later date.
After their wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple will reside in Fremont.
