Medlicott - Baker
Kacie Renee Medlicott of Goldsboro and Benjamin Nicolas Baker exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 16 at 2:30 p.m. at Lane Tree Golf Club, with the Rev. T.A. Bowden Jr., M.D., officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jamie Lee Medlicott of Alexandria, Va., and Tracy Enriquez Johnson of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Colleen Cooper Gray of Goldsboro and the late Jerry I. Medlicott of Alexandria and Jose and Faye Enriquez of Goldsboro.
She is the stepdaughter of Jesse Johnson and Sachi Medlicott and the stepgrandaughter of John Gray.
She is a 2006 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and attended Mitchell’s Hair Styling Academy. She is currently manager of Shear Pleasures Hair Salon in Berkeley Mall. She is employed as salon manager/stylist at Regis Salons.
The groom is the son of Tony Curtis and Jodi Bowden Baker of Goldsboro and the grandson of Gene and Mrs. Hazel Baker of Lenox, Ga., and the Rev. T.A. Bowden Jr., M.D., of Augusta, Ga., and Mrs. Marion G. Cotton of Mount Pleasant, S.C.
He is the stepgrandson of Mrs. Ceclia M. Bowden and Dr. Peter Cotton.
The groom is a 2007 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and a November 2009 graduate of Universal Technical Institute in Exton, Pa.
He is currently employed with Goldsboro Toyota.
The bride was escorted by her father, Jamie Medlicott, and given in marriage by her mother and father.
She wore an Oleg Cassini strapless satin bodice with floral applique and platinum thread embroidery with an organza ball gown skirt and a chapel length train.
Her headpiece was a Swarovski crystal tiara with a double-tiered fingertip-length shimmer tulle veil and blusher.
The bride carried a full cascade bouquet of pink and white peonies, blush pink roses, accented with wax flowers, delphinium and assorted greenery.
Robin Allen was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Mandy Enriquez, Rosely Vongbandith and Samantha Pate.
Tripp Bowden served as best man.
Groomsmen were Allen Warden, Brad Broft and Eric Broft.
Arrie B. Bowden was flower girl and Michael Johnson was ringbearer.
Dawn Cooper directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Amanda Abrams.
Other special helpers included Mrs. Jaynee Allen, Mrs. Hazel Cooper,
Mrs. Koko Moreno, Mrs. Bessie McCoy, Miss Colleen McCoy and Miss Catherine McCoy.
A program of wedding music was provided by pianist and deejay Thomas Vick.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Lane Tree Golf Club.
After a wedding trip to Dewees, S.C., the couple now resides in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a rehearsal dinner at Koi Asian Bistro hosted by the groom’s parents; a bridal shower in April hosted by the bride’s cousin McCall Sollars at The Hinnant Family Vineyards; and a bridal luncheon was given at the home of Mrs. Colleen Gray, and co-hosted by Mrs. Gray, grandmother of the bride, and maid of honor Robin Allen and the bride’s aunt Bessie McCoy.
