Lampron - Swinson
Brooke Danielle Swinson and Phillip Andrew Lampron of Mount Olive exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 30 at 2 p.m. at Spring Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. E. Otto Griffin Jr. officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Robert A. and Sandra G. Swinson and Sandra G. Swinson of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Milton A. and Betty R. Goodman, the late William John Swinson Sr. and the late Edna Mae Swinson of Mount Olive.
She is a 2005 honor graduate of North Duplin High School and a 2009 honors and distinction graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor of arts degree. She attends East Carolina University’s doctor of physical therapy program.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Tucker of Mount Olive and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Allen Lampron of Walkertown and the grandson of Bobby R. and Shirley P. Kelly of Mount Olive and the late Anthony Lampron and the late Carolyn Lampron of Salisbury.
He is a 2004 honor graduate of North Duplin High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in education. He is employed by South Topsail Elementary School.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white strapless gown with an organza over satin skirt with beaded flower detail on the bodice and bottom of the skirt and along the bottom of the train. It had a satin sash and satin-covered buttons down the chapel-length train.
Her headpiece was a two-tiered veil accented with crystals and miniature pearls.
The bride carried a white bouquet of sweetheart roses with stock and hyacinths with stems wrapped with ribbon.
Jessica Leigh Swinson was her sister’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kristen Ostrom and Shannon Jackson, friends of the bride.
Bobby R. Kelly was his grandson’s best man.
Groomsmen were Danny Lampron, brother of the groom, and Albert Woods, friend of the couple.
Ushers were Nathan Mitchell, cousin of the bride, and Tyler Kelly, cousin of the groom.
Lyndsi Bella Mitchell, cousin of the bride, was flowergirl. Hayden Boatright, friend of the couple, was ringbearer.
Lyndi G. Mitchell, aunt of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Emily Kelly, cousin of the groom. Gretchen Tucker and Natalie Goodman, cousins of the bride, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Gerald Herring, pianist, and Haley Parker and Nikki Woods, vocalists.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Southern Wayne Country Club. Roseanne Jones, friend of the couple, greeted guests. Nancy Brock and Nellie Hall, aunts of the groom, cut and served the wedding cake. Genetta Goodman and Regina Tucker, aunts of the bride, poured punch. Lisa Kelly, aunt of the groom, was director.
The couple resides in Greenville.
Events held before the wedding included a miscellaneous shower March 29 in Spring Creek Church fellowship hall hosted by aunts and cousins of the bride; a miscellaneous shower April 19 in Spring Creek Church fellowship hall hosted by ladies of the church; a miscellaneous man shower hosted by friend of the groom; a bachelorette party May 4 in Chapel Hill hosted by friends of the bride; and a bridal luncheon May 19 at the home of Clementine Waters hosted by Ms. Waters and Ramona Harrell, aunts of the bride, and Susan Carr, cousin of the bride.
The groom’s family hosted a rehearsal dinner May 29 at Murphy’s.
