Coppedge - Schneider
Apex — Amanda Christine Schneider and Stephen Joseph Coppedge exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. at Saint Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, with Fr. Thomas Gumprecht officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Warren and Karen Snyder of Columbia, Md., and the granddaughter of Catherine Snyder the late Edward Snyder of Ormond Beach, Fla., and Marilu Turlington and the late Jesse C. Turlington of Dunn.
She is a 2003 graduate of Long Reach High School in Maryland and a 2007 graduate of Campbell University with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and advertising. She is employed as a graphic designer and marketing assistant at Fidelity Bank Corporate Center in Fuquay-Varina.
The groom is the son of Michael and Denise Coppedge of Goldsboro and the grandson of Mary Coppedge the late John T. Coppedge of Fayetteville and the late Harold and Johanna Bryden of Dunstable, England.
He is a 2001 graduate of Rosewood High School and a 2005 graduate of Campbell University with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and studio art.
He is employed as a graphic design technician at Wake Technical Community College.
The bride was escorted by her mother and given in marriage her parents.
She wore a strapless A-line gown with a beaded embroidered tulle overlay and a matching satin sash at the empire.
Her headpiece was a white two-tiered elbow-length veil with a satin corded edge, crystals and pearls.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of red Gerber daisies, mango miniature calla lilies and rusty red hypericum berries with blue hydrangea accented with glossy green lily grass and rustic vine finished with a banding of double-faced satin ribbon in burnt orange anchored by pearl beads.
Jennifer Schneider of Columbia was her sister’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were, Holly Neurell of Queenstown, Md., and Dawn Snyder of Elizabeth City, sisters; Sara Masiulis of Saint Petersburg, Fla., friend of the bride; and Tracey Coppedge of Durham, sister-in-law of the groom.
Matthew Coppedge of Durham and Christopher Coppedge of Raleigh were their brother’s best men.
Groomsmen were Matthew Wagner of Goldsboro, Mark Barbour of Garner and Chris Snyder of Lewes, Del., brother of the bride.
Miranda Surles of Dunn, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Lucas Turlington of Dunn, cousin of the bride, was ringbearer.
Presiding at the register were Kristen Lilly of Lewes and Laura Borucki of New Wales, Pa. Kristen Lilly and Laura Borucki distributed programs.
Emily Mullis of Elizabeth City, Lee Yahnker of Goldsboro and Teri Borucki of New Wales were readers.
John and Diane Davis of Canton, Ohio, uncle and aunt of the groom, were gift bearers.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Shady Wagon Farm in New Hill.
After a wedding trip to Cozumel, Mexico, the couple reside in Dunn.
Events held before the wedding included a bachelor weekend in October in the Virginia mountains; a shower in October hosted by co-workers at Fidelity Bank; a bachelorette weekend in Raleigh in September; a shower in September at Lillington Arts Council hosted by Jennifer Schneider, sister; and a shower in July at the home of Lee Yahnker.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Oct. 24 at the Peak City Grill in Apex.
