Kelly Nicole Mullen and Andrew Paul Piwowarski Jr. of Buffalo, N.Y., exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 11 at 3:00 p.m. at Walnut Creek Country Club, with the Rev. Martin Armstrong officiating.

The bride is the daughter of James Porter and Carol Denise Mullen of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late James Franklin and Helen Marie Mullen of Portsmouth, Ohio, and the late Ernest Eugene and Carol Mims Smith of Myrtle Beach, S.C.

She graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 1999 and attended Wayne Community College. She is employed as a dental assistant at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

The groom is the son of Andrew Paul Piwowarski Sr. and Donna Ann Piwowarski of Brookville, Ind., and the grandson of Irene Ann Piwowarski, the late Thaddeus Stanley Piwowarski and the late Tom and Grace Lydia Bordonnarro of Buffalo.

He graduated from Camden County High School in 1998. He served in the Air Force at Seymour Johnson AFB. He is employed as a retail manager at Hibbett Sports.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an informal gown of ivory chiffon over satin with a strapless neckline with optional spaghetti straps. The beaded bodice was enhanced with a ruched inverted V waistline and straight chiffon skirt that ended in a chapel-length train.

Her headpiece was a single-tiered veil of silk illusion with soutache edging and scattered rhinestone trim.

The bride carried of clutch of ivory Virginia roses wrapped in ivory ribbon.

Tracy Aiken was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Marcy Belk, April Bickford and Kristina Piwowarski, sister of the groom.

Joey Montague was best man.

Groomsmen were Brian Piwowarski and Jeffrey Piwowarski, brothers of the groom, and Jimmy Mullen, brother of the bride.

Taylor Bundy, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Connor Mullen, son of the bride, was ringbearer.

Elaine Mayette directed the wedding.

A program of wedding music was provided by Phyllis Lewis, vocalist, and a dj.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Walnut Creek Country Club.

After a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the couple reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a couples’ shower at the home of Tracy Aiken hosted by Ms. Aiken; a co-worker bridal shower at the dental clinic at Seymour Johnson AFB; a bachelorette party in Wilmington; a bachelor party in Chapel Hill; and a bridal luncheon at the Royal Tea Room.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Walnut Creek Country Club.
