SAINT SIMONS ISLAND Ga. — Elizabeth Diane Patrick of Greensboro and William Reynold Allen IV exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 4 at 5 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Timothy Steffen officiating.
The bride is the daughter of John Patrick Jr. of Saint Simons Island and Vicki Lynn Harrison Patrick of Savannah, Ga., and the granddaughter of the late John Patrick Sr. and Mary W. McLain Patrick of Lyons, Ga., Jeanette Johnson of Savannah and the late Glynn Lamar Harrison of Richmond Hill, Ga.
She is a graduate of Alan C. Pope High School in Georgia and Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in interior design. She is employed as project manager at ID Collaborative.
The groom is the son of William Reynold Allen III and Margaret Pannill Allen of Greensboro and the grandson of the late William Reynold Allen Jr. of Goldsboro, Elizabeth Roper Allen of Greensboro and the late Robert Samuel and Margaret Stephens Pannill of Martinsville, Va.
He is a graduate of Greensboro Day School and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. He is a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He is employed as vice president at First Triad Mortgage Corp.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Jenny Patrick Donaway of Orlando, Fla., was her sister’s matron of honor, while Shannon Raye Patrick of Saint Simons Island, half-sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Cabell Allen of Greensboro, sister of the groom and Stacy Myers Calfo of Greensboro.
William Reynold Allen III was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Michael Sean Boyd of Belews Creek, Robert Graham Fripp of Wilmington and Darren Hinson Gregory of Greensboro.
Ushers were John Nelson Duncan III of Beaufort, cousin of the groom, and John Nicholson Patrick of Saint Simons Island, half-brother of the bride.
Joshua Glynn Donaway of Orlando, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.
Harold Lee Kirkman Jr. directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Susan Phyllis Repass Harrison.
A program of wedding music was provided by Josh Sholander, vocalist, and Beth Humber, organist.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Crane Cottage at Jekyll Island Club Hotel.
After a wedding trip to the Caribbean, the couple reside in Greensboro.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Oct. 3 in the ballroom of Jekyll Island Club Hotel.
