Jones - Painter
GREENVILLE, S.C. — Jana Ruth Painter and William Arthur Jones III exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 3 at 6 p.m. at Blount Gardens, with the Rev. W. Ralph Painter and the Rev. J. Edward Blount officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Ralph and Joy Painter of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Tom and Ruth Painter of Tacaoa, Ga., and Edward and Frances Blount of Greenville.
She is a 2005 graduate of Summit Christian Academy and attends Southeastern University as a marketing major.
The groom is the son of William Arthur Jones II and Shirley Jones of Lakeland, Fla., and the grandson of Mae Jones and the late Art Jones and the late Abdie and Betty Menendez of Lakeland.
He is a 2004 graduate of Lakeland High School. He is an Army ROTC pre-med student at Southeastern University.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a formal gown of candlelight satin overlaid with English netting and Schiffli lace. The strapless bodice was accented with scalloped lace and embellished with pearls and sequins. The straight skirt flowed into a chapel train edged with beaded scalloped Schiffli Lace.
Her headpiece was a tiara of crystals and pearls attached to a two-tiered veil of silk illusion edged with Swarovski crystals.
Jacki Lollar was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jinjer Haskett and Sharon Painter.
Jonathan Painter was best man.
Groomsmen were Daniel Haskett and Jason Lollar.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jinjer Haskett, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, a dinner reception was held.
After a wedding trip to Hendersonville, the couple reside in Lakeland.
