Melisha Anne Boyd and Lanado Shantelo Thompson exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 8 at 7:30 p.m., with Evangelist Doretha Brown officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jerome Antonio and Donna Elaine Vaughan of Goldsboro, the stepdaughter of Eddie Moses and the granddaughter of Margaret Pigatt of Goldsboro.
She graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1995 and attended Wilson Tech.
The groom is the son of Leroy Sylvester Goal and Laura Thompson Carmicheal of Goldsboro and the grandson of Leroy Goal of Fayetteville, the late Flossie Goal of Greensboro and the late James Fields of Goldsboro and Almerita Fields of Goldsboro.
He graduated from Goldsboro High in 2001. He is employed as an assembly technician at AAR Industrial.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.
She wore a dark brown one-shoulder satin gown.
Shonta Brown was maid of honor.
Ronald Brice was best man.
Stephanie Lewis and Evangelist Doris Lewis directed the wedding.
A program of wedding music was provided by Karen Kornegay, vocalist, and A New Beginning Gospel Choir.
Following the ceremony, the couple had a reception at Applebees.
After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple reside in Goldsboro.
