Jones - Nethercutt
Heather Leigh-Ann Nethercutt and Taylor Robert Jones exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 14 at 5 p.m. at Dobson Chapel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Rick Howell officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timmy Nethercutt of Kenansville, the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cloninger and the late James Hoffman of Kenansville and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Nethercutt of Magnolia and the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Loy D. Proctor of Alexis.
She is a 2004 graduate of James Kenan High School and a 2008 graduate of Campbell University with a degree in criminal justice administration. She is employed with the firm of Orander and Riley.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Jones of Mount Olive and the grandson of Mrs. Brinkley Taylor and the late Mr. Taylor of Goldsboro and Bob Jones and the late Mae Jones of Mount Olive.
He is a 2002 graduate of North Duplin High School and a 2006 graduate of Campbell University with a degree in secondary math education. He is employed as a teacher at Spring Creek High School.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a gown of ivory satin embellished with pearls and beads on the bodice and a cathedral train accented with a champagne colored inlay.
Her headpiece was a crystal tiara with a fingertip-length ivory veil with bead accents.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of ivory and pink calla lilies accented with a royal blue ribbon.
Lauren Norwood was her sister’s matron of honor, while Riley Barwick, friend of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Nikki Wood, sister of the groom; Ashley Register, Kirby Grady and Brittany Crabtree, friends of the bride; and Alyssa Woods and Megan Marler, roommates of the bride.
Bernard Jones was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Albert Wood, brother-in-law of the groom; Jaime Jones, Aaron Sanders, Justin Glover and Ryan Dunn, friends of the groom; James Nethercutt, brother of the bride; and Joshua Norwood, brother-in-law of the bride.
Hannah Barnette, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
Paul Barnette, cousin of the bride, was the junior groomsman.
Sheila Grady, friend of the bride’s family, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Hailey Sheffield. Alicia Sheffield distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Tim Bass, friend of the bride’s family, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at the Country Squire Restaurant’s Jester’s Court. Aaron and Danielle Sheffield, friends of the family, greeted guests. Millie Bland of Magnolia, aunt of the bride, served the wedding cake.
After a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple reside in Mount Olive.
Events held before the wedding included a miscellaneous shower May 28 at Spring Creek High School hosted by co-workers of the groom; a lingerie shower May 24 at Kenansville Fire Department hosted by Riley and Susan Barwick; a tool shower May 24 at Dobson Church hosted by Josh Norwood; a miscellaneous shower May 4 at Dobson Church fellowship hall hosted by family and friends; a bridal luncheon May 3 at the Red Barn hosted by Peggy Cloninger and Kim Lanier during which time the bride chose to present gifts to her attendants; a miscellaneous shower April 13 at the home of Rosanne Jones hosted by Ms. Jones, Nikki Wood and Thelma Taylor; a Pampered Chef shower Feb. 23 at the home of Lauren Norwood hosted by Ms. Norwood; a Tupperware shower Jan. 20 at the home of Peggy Cloninger hosted by Ms. Cloninger and Kim Lanier; a Christmas shower Dec. 9 at the home of Pauline Nethercutt hosted by Ms. Nethercutt and Joan Barnette; a bachelorette party in Raleigh; and a bachelor party in Jacksonville.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner June 13 at the Red Barn. The groom chose this time to present gifts to his attendants.
