Cash - Epps
PRINCETON — Heather LeeAnne Epps of Dudley and John Edward Cash exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 12 at 3 p.m. at Whitley Church, with the Rev. Gerald Hollamon, uncle of the bride, and the Rev. Lynn Epps, father of the bride, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Kenneth L. Epps Jr. and Deborah Hollamon Epps of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Kenneth L. Epps Sr. of LaGrange, Jean Ann Shea Epps of Goldsboro and the late Robert Talmadge “Jack” and Ruth Hudson Hollamon of Mount Olive.
She is a 2000 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School. She is employed as a certified pharmacy technician at Wayne Pharmacy.
The groom is the son of Joyce Dark and the late Ivan Benjamin Cash of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late John Edward and Virgie Cash of Oxford, Virginia Dark of Veedersburg, Ind., and the late Marvin Dark of Crawfordsville, Ind.
He is a 2005 graduate of Southern Wayne High School. He is a volunteer fireman with Mar Mac Fire Department. He is employed as a mechanic at Goldsboro Toyota.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white formal-length halter top gown embellished with pearls, beading and silver embroidery. The A-Line gown flowed into a chapel-length train.
Her headpiece was a fingertip veil edged with silver embroidery and pearls attached to a pearl and rhinestone tiara.
The bride carried a bouquet of stargazer lilies and white, blue and yellow roses accented with her grandmother’s handkerchief.
Donna McDuffie was her friend’s matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Tina Jimenez, friend of the bride, and LaNelle Epps, aunt of the bride.
Colby Johnson was his friend’s best man.
Groomsmen were Kyle Stewart, Gary Parker and Rick Nolty, friends of the groom.
Madison Parks, cousin of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid.
Zoe Jimenez, friend of the bride, was flower girl.
Donna Wester, friend of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Melissa Alcock, cousin of the bride. Caleb Epps and Logan Parks, cousins of the bride, distributed programs.
Teresa Figard was a special helper.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jay Epps, uncle of the bride; the bride’s father; and Sonya Parks, aunt of the bride, vocalists.
Following the ceremony, Lib Bradshaw of Faison, friend of the family, hosted a reception at Whitley Church’s carpenter’s house. A three-tiered heart-shaped cake was served. Servers were Lois Thigpen, Diane Hollamon and JoAnn Hollamon, aunts of the bride.
After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple reside in Dudley.
Events held before the wedding included a miscellaneous shower March 9 in Rosewood hosted by aunts of the bride.
The groom’s mother hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Steak Barn. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.
